The Italian Embassy in Lebanon hosted the exhibition “Rotating Art”, organised in cooperation with Banque BEMO, in partnership with “Gabriel Rizkallah Art Consultancy” and “Commercial Insurance”. The exhibition featured 47 emerging artists presenting different styles of art.
The opening attracted a large audience of artists, art gallery owners, private collectors and professionals. With this initiative, Banque BEMO wanted to create an oasis of hope and beauty in the midst of the current economic crisis, to put Lebanon at the forefront of art and creativity.
As part of the exhibition, the Embassy organised the presentation of Lorenzo Trombetta’s new book: Negoziazione e potere in Medioriente. Alle radici dei conflitti in Siria e dintorni (Negotiation and Power in the Middle East. At the Roots of Conflicts in and around Syria). In addition to the author, the event was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Lebanon Nicoletta Bombardiere. The debate was moderated by Riccardo Paredi. The book invites us to consider the Syrian issue as a laboratory for understanding the entire Mediterranean area grappling with challenges that will characterise the political, social and cultural dynamics of the coming decades. A targeted audience took part in the discussion on the complexity of the region’s socio-political systems.
