At the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, inaugurated the exhibition “In memory of Paolo Rossi and Sinisa Mihajlovic” dedicated to the two champions who have recently passed away.
The inauguration was attended not only by the Minister of Culture, Maja Gojkovic, and the Museum Director, Biljana Jotic, but also by Paolo Rossi’s wife, Federica Cappelletti, and Sinisa Mihajlovic’s brother, Drazen Mihajlovic.
The exhibition, which includes memorabilia, jerseys and iconic photographs of the two champions’ careers, was promoted by World Camp International together with the Italian Embassy in Serbia and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, with the patronage of FIFA, CONI, FIGC and the support of Banca Intesa and Generali Assicurazioni.
Ambassador Gori said: “The exhibition we dedicate to Paolo Rossi and Sinisa Mihajlovic celebrates the friendship between Italy and Serbia through two great champions, beloved by the fans of both countries for the trophies won, of course, but above all for their ability to establish a genuine human relationship with the public. He added: “Sport, in all its disciplines, represents an extraordinary bond between Italy and Serbia, a bond on which we leverage for strengthening bilateral relations and promoting Italy in Serbia, also in view of the EXPO dedicated to sport and music that Belgrade will host in 2027″.
