Prague – The works of Piranesi cast their spell on visitors

Some of the best works by Giovanni Battista Piranesi are on show in Prague, with an exhibition entitled “Giovanni Battista Piranesi: a genius of the Italian Baroque (1720-1778)”. The exhibition will run until 1 February 2015. It was organised by the National Gallery of Prague in collaboration with the City of Prague Archives, under the aegis of tithe Italian Embassy in the Czech Republic, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Speaking at the opening, Italian Ambassador Aldo Amati underscored the high sense of beauty that links Prague and the art of Piranesi. Read more, in Italian.
