The Italian Cultural Institute of Beirut is organising, together with the Italian Embassy in Lebanon, a concert to celebrate the centenary of Maria Callas’ birth. The event, organised in collaboration with the Beirut Chants Festival, will be held on 3 December at the Assembly Hall.
Commemorating the legendary Diva, paying homage to her artistic legacy, will be “Le DIV4S”, a vocal ensemble born in 2008 that combines opera and pop accompanied on piano by Davide Dellisanti.
The performance will feature, among others, music by Bellini, Puccini, Verdi, Bizet, Schubert, Offenbach, Delibes and Ennio Morricone.
