Italian Cooperation – 2.8 million for Eastern Sudan

The Italian Development Cooperation has launched two new efforts in eastern Sudan, one in the healthcare sector and one on behalf of food security, for an overall value of 2.8 million euro. The projects will concentrate on assisting the populations of the States of Kassala, Gedaref and Red Sea, a vast area where maternal-infant mortality rates and malnutrition are the highest and where decades of famine have decimated the population and livestock.
