Design was the protagonist in Copenhagen at the “3daysofdesign” fair, which from 18 to 20 June animated the Danish capital with many events and exhibitions. The theme of this edition, “Keep it Real”, wanted to “highlight individual expression and experiences, echoing the desire for a more sensitive, inclusive and responsible world”.
For the occasion, the Italian Embassy in Copenhagen proposed, for each of the days, meetings on specific themes linked to the history, excellence and school of Italian design, organized at the Italian Residence and included in the official program of the event. Among these, the masterclass held by Dr. Chiara Squarcina – Scientific Director of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia – on the origins of the art of glass in Venice and Murano.
The design of companies in Rome and its province was instead the subject of the project presented by the CNA of Rome, with the contribution of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, which associated an “augmented reality” experience with a tasting of typical products of the Castelli Romani. Prof. Giovanni Ottonello, Art Director of the European Institute of Design, also illustrated the direct link between design in art, cinema and fashion through iconic pieces and equally iconic images of films and atelier creations.
Finally, the public was given the possibility of watching – in virtual reality – the video “ITALY is FASHION” – Tradition, beauty, sustainability, innovation, an immersive journey into the evolution of Italian fashion.
