States General of the Space Economy
“Space diplomacy: a tool for foreign policy and engine of growth”
(Farnesina, 27 October 2025)
On Monday, 27 October 2025, the States General of the Space Economy, titled “Space diplomacy: a tool for foreign policy and engine of growth”, will take place at the Sala Aldo Moro of the Farnesina.
The event, open to the press during its opening session, will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the institutional opening remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani. Speakers will also include Andrea Mascaretti, President of the Parliamentary Intergroup on the Space Economy; Antonella Sberna, Vice President of the European Parliament; and Roberta Angelilli, Vice President and Councillor for Economic Development of the Lazio Region.
The proceedings will then continue behind closed doors with a discussion on “International relations and cooperation in the government’s guidelines on space and aerospace”, moderated by Franco Federici, Secretary of COMINT (Interministerial Committee for Intelligence and Security), and Marco Lisi, Special Envoy for Space of the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The conclusion of the proceedings is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
