SLOVAK REPUBLIC: celebrates Verdi with concerts in various cities

A full calendar of events in Slovakia for the celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi: Kosice, 2013 European Capital of Culture will host a concert featuring a repertoire of Verdi works ranging from Don Carlo, to MacBeth to the Sicilian Vespers, and is fruit of a promising bilateral musical collaboration between pianist Julia Grejtakova of the State Theatre of Kosice, accompanied by Italo-Russian soprano Anna Princeva and Italian mezzo soprano Michela Bregantin, who will be joined by Slovak tenor Jaroslav Dvorsky and baritone Marian Lukac of the same State Opera.
