As part of the 9th Katara European Jazz Festival, Doha hosted a concert by the Italian duo Ilaria Pilar Patassini and Simone Sansonetti, presented by the Embassy of Italy in Doha in collaboration with the Katara Cultural Village Foundation and Qatar’s EUNIC cluster.
The performance highlighted the refined interpretive skills of Ilaria Pilar Patassini, singer and songwriter, and finalist for the Targa Tenco 2025 for her album “Canto Conte“, in which she reinterpreted famous pieces by Paolo Conte in a symphonic-jazz-chamber music style, accompanied on guitar by Simone Sansonetti, a young Italian jazz talent and winner of the “Mario Guidi” Award.
The interplay of voice and guitar created an intimate and engaging atmosphere, appreciated by the large and enthusiastic audience. The Ambassador of Italy, Paolo Toschi, said: “Culture and music remain vital bridges for dialogue, diplomacy, and friendship, reaffirming the shared love for beauty, rhythm and harmony that unites Italy, Qatar and Europe”.
