Presentation of the Strategic Document on the Arctic

(Villa Madama, 16 January 2026)

On Friday, 16 January 2026, from 11:30 a.m., Villa Madama will host the presentation of the Italian Arctic Policy, a Strategic Document outlining Italy’s objectives for strengthening its engagement in the Arctic region, with particular focus on political dialogue, security, scientific research and economic development.

The conference will include remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, the President of the National Research Council (CNR), Andrea Lenzi and the President of Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), Francesca Mariotti.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend are request to register by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, 15 January, via the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching the required documentation.

Those already registered on the online portal who have received confirmation of their registration can access their profile and select participation in the event.

Accreditation badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, central entrance, left side, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

As private vehicles are not permitted to access Villa Madama, accredited journalists will be escorted to Villa Madama by shuttle service operating from the Farnesina (round trip), available until the conclusion of the event.
