UPDATE – PRESS ACCREDITATION

NOTE 97th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LATERAN PACTS

Embassy of Italy to the Holy See, 17 February 2026

 

On Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See (Palazzo Borromeo), in the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, and the highest institutional authorities of the Italian Republic and the Holy See, the ninety-seventh anniversary of the Lateran Pacts and the forty-second anniversary of the Agreement revising the Concordat will be celebrated.

Media representatives wishing to cover the event at the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See may apply for accreditation by 6:00 p.m. on Monday, 16 February, by registering via the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and attaching the required documentation.

Those who have already registered on the online portal and received confirmation of acceptance may access their profile and select participation in the event.

Please note that on the day of the event (17/02/2026) it will not be possible to accept new accreditation requests, except in the case of unforeseen substitutions.

Accredited media are requested to present themselves at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, main entrance, left-hand side, from 3:45 p.m. and no later than 2:45 p.m. for the required security checks (maximum punctuality is requested).

A shuttle service will then depart from the Farnesina to Palazzo Borromeo and return.

In view of limited space, access to the meeting room will be granted exclusively to official photographers and camera operators.

Journalists, photographers and camera operators — even if previously accredited — who arrive at the event by their own means without undergoing security checks at the Farnesina and using the shuttle service will not be admitted to Palazzo Borromeo.

Appropriate attire for the event is required.
