“The latest ISTAT data on Italian companies’ exports confirm a positive trend resulting from the commitment of businesses and their ability to internationalize, but also from the support of the Government and the Italian system agencies.” In Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani’s opinion, “the chosen strategy enables us to maintain an excellent presence in traditional markets, such as the United States, but we need to expand exports in accordance with our National Plan.” Minister Tajani reaffirmed that “despite the uncertainties surrounding tariffs, we are strengthening our position in the United States, with exports growing by 7.2%. In May we will also organize a major trade, science, and technology Forum in Miami. But we will also need to focus on emerging markets, such as Mercosur, Latin America in general, India, and the East.
The agreements recently signed by the European Union will open up new opportunities for us, and the Foreign Ministry is already guiding and supporting Italian companies towards these new horizons. We want to strengthen collaboration between companies and the export agencies (ITA, SIMEST, SACE, and CDP); we are preparing a series of events in the regions of Southern, Central, and Northern Italy. Even small and medium-sized Italian companies must be able to access international markets with the support of the State: Italian embassies around the world are increasingly at the service of Italian exporters.”
