PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
MINISTERIAL MEETING ON THE WESTERN BALKANS
(Farnesina, 03 March 2026)
On Tuesday 3 March 2026, the Farnesina will host a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the “Friends of Western Balkans” Group together with the Foreign Ministers of the Western Balkans and the European Union. The meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and will be attended by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas.
The agenda is as follows:
13:30 – 13:45: Arrival of foreign delegations – open to accredited photographers and cameramen
Following: Group photo – open to accredited photographers and cameramen
13:45 – 15:30: First session on “Ensuring solid foundations for security, prosperity and economic growth: strategic cooperation between the EU and the Western Balkans” (closed to the press)
16:30 – 18:00: Second session on “Reforms, Responsibility, Results: an enlargement that delivers” (press access only for the intervention of Minister Antonio Tajani)
The ministerial meeting — attended by the Foreign Ministers of the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) and the countries of the “Friends of Western Balkans” group (Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Greece and Slovenia) — will strengthen coordination on EU-Balkans cooperation priorities for 2026, European integration and regional security and development.
Journalists will be able to follow Minister Tajani’s intervention during the second working session (16:30) from a listening room (Sala Aldo Moro), while photographers and cameramen will be admitted to the International Conference Hall (main meeting room).
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend the press moments must apply by 5:00 p.m. on Monday 2 March, registering via the following link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and providing the required documentation.
Those who have already registered on the online portal and received confirmation from the system must log in to their profile and select participation in the event.

Due to space constraints, it may be necessary to organise photographer pools for image moments and cameramen pools for filming.
