Montevideo: italian musicians at the Jazz Festival

The Montevideo Jazz Festival resounded with the notes of famed Italian musician Giovanni Mirabassi, whose performance at the Uruguayan capital’s Teatro Solis was built on elaborate melodic themes and harmonic variations. A little piece of Italy on stage along with Ralph Towner (guitar and piano) and Italo-Argentine Javier Girotto (soprano sax and Andean flute), both of whom are long-time residents of Rome.
