The Consulate of Italy in Istanbul has been following since yesterday the case of an Italian national who arrived in Türkiye from Israel together with other Flotilla activists. The Italian citizen was assisted upon arrival by staff from the Italian Consulate General, to whom he stated that he would remain in Istanbul to support a group of Spanish activists in need of assistance. Upon arrival at the hospital, he was also admitted for medical examinations. The Consul General in Istanbul is in contact with the hospital doctors to gather further information on his condition and to be able to communicate with him, as he does not have a mobile phone.
