Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani is in Parma today to meet with the leaders of major local companies and to participate in the Assembly of the Parma Industrialists’ Union at 5:00 p.m. in the Teatro Regio.
The nearly 600 companies represented by the Union are a symbol of Italian expertise in many sectors, ranging from pharmaceuticals to advanced mechanics and agri-food, where the province of Parma is a true leader. Parma is Italy’s 20th largest exporting province, with exports totalling €2.78 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
Minister Tajani will also meet with Nikolaus Georg Kriz, Executive Director of the European Food Safety Authority that is based in Parma.
The Minister’s visit is part of a broader programme of activities to support local regions in their internationalization and export promotion efforts, within the framework of the growth diplomacy promoted by the Foreign Ministry.
