The photography exhibition “Italia di Moda” has opened at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, marking the project’s first international stop following its success at the previous Italian venues in Milan, Rome, Florence and Vicenza.
The exhibition, organised under the patronage of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and Pitti Immagine, features the work of photographer Andrea Varani and star model Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti.
The exhibition features 49 photographs that depict Italy through the interplay of fashion, art, landscape and cultural heritage. The garments designed by some of Italy’s most renowned fashion houses are not merely aesthetic elements, but become an integral part of the locations, engaging in a dialogue with the country’s regions, history, creativity and identity.
The project stems from a journey through Italy’s twenty regions: the garments interact with architecture, light, nature and materials, thus becoming tools for storytelling rather than mere aesthetic elements. Through the universal power of images, the project provides a contemporary vision of ‘Made in Italy’, turning fashion into a language capable of forging connections and making visitors discover Italy’s cultural richness.
