VM Del Re opens webinar on investments in Sudan

The Vice Minister, Emanuela Del Re, opened today the webinar “Doing business in the new Sudan” organized by the Italian Embassy in Sudan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo and the monthly economic magazine Africa e Affari, in the presence of Omar Gamar Aldeen Ismail, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan.

The Vice Minister underlined the renewed interest of the international community in Sudan and the widespread support for the path of reforms “courageously undertaken”. She then recalled her visit to the country last March which allowed her to witness the commitment of the Sudanese in the socio-economic and institutional reconstruction of the country: “Italy wants to support this process”.

“Sudan has long been a priority country for our development cooperation,” continued the Vice Minister. “We now want to broaden our areas of intervention, especially by focusing on professional training and education, to promote human capital and release new energy for the growth of the country. From the point of view of economic relations, Del Re noted how new areas of interest for our companies are emerging, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, energy, and green transition. “The country offers many opportunities to Italian entrepreneurs who can enjoy considerable benefits from our solid and ancient bilateral relations” – concluded the Vice Minister.
