On the initiative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, a further meeting of the ‘Table on Italian businesses in Russia’ was held today at the Farnesina, focusing on safeguarding the interests of Italian businesses operating in Russia.
The meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of the operational situation in Russia and to provide updates on the measures taken by the Ministry and the Agencies responsible for internationalisation to support Italian businesses and protect their investments, in full compliance with the sanctions regime currently in force. Specific cases of difficulties encountered by individual companies were also examined.
“The Table on Italian businesses in Russia is a concrete and practical example of the Government’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding the legitimate interests of our companies operating in Russia. Sistema Italia is on hand to provide operational support. We remain committed to concrete measures, such as subsidised loans to support the expansion into international markets of Italian companies with subsidiaries in Russia,” commented Minister Tajani.
