Dantedi’ Web of the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo

On the occasion of #Dantedì, scheduled today, starting at 19:00, the Italian Cultural Institute of Cairo presents on its Facebook video channel “Dantedi’ Web. Read Dante in Cairo“, an online event to also share in Egypt the reading of the Divine Comedy and celebrate the day dedicated to Dante Alighieri. Egyptian and Italian students and teachers will read verses of the father of the Italian language and talk about their encounter with his work. In addition to the director of the Italian Institute of Culture, Davide Scalmani, among others, teachers and students from the Faculty of Languages of the University of Ain Shams, the Faculty of Letters of the University of Cairo and representatives of the Salesian Don Bosco Institute in Egypt will take part in the online event. In these difficult days, the Italian Cultural Institute of Cairo has started online Italian language lessons for its students. It has also begun to propose public cultural events on the web to the Egyptian public.
