At 11:00 on Friday 4 December, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni and Executive Vice President and Director of the Institute of International Policy Studies (ISPI) Paolo Magri will make a press presentation of the MED 2015 – Mediterranean Dialogues Conference to be sponsored by the foreign ministry and ISPI at the Farnesina in Rome from 10 to 12 December.
The goal of the MED 2015 Conference, entitled “Beyond Turmoil, a positive Agenda”, is to lay the groundwork for a new Mediterranean agenda aimed at eliminating the region’s perception as a scenario of crisis, danger and instability and returning it to one of opportunity.
The conference will therefore concentrate on current challenges and transformations in a Mediterranean that has become the epicentre of international disorder. The priority remains the defeat of Daesh and violent extremism, but it is necessary to go beyond the current chaos to imagine a new regional order built through diplomacy, partnership, governance and co-development.

If you are unable to complete the online accreditation procedure, please send your application by fax, on your media organisation’s letterhead, to the Foreign Ministry’s Press and Institutional Communication Service (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210).
Accreditation requests already submitted for the previous date of 30 November will be considered valid for 4 December.
Accredited members of the press will be admitted at the main entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – left side – from 10:15 to 10:45.
