A humanitarian flight for Niger

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Cooperation Service have organised a humanitarian flight headed to Niamey (Niger), the fifth since the health crisis started in the Country. The flight, operated by the Italian Air force, took off this morning carrying 5 tonnes of medicine and medical aids, donated by the Italian Cooperation Service to Niger. It is in response to an appeal by Niger’s health authorities in the effort to address the cholera outbreak. The confirmed death toll from the epidemics is 57 and 3,000 cases to date.
