Munich Security Conference: Alfano meets with his Iranian counterpart, Zarif

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, held a bilateral meeting with the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamad Javad Zarif, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).During a most fruitful meeting with his counterpart, Minister Alfano underlined the importance of the positive role Iran plays in helping to solve the ongoing regional crises, starting from Syria. Alfano also  expressed to his interlocutor the interest the Italian economic system has “to relaunch economic, trade,  commercial and cultural relations with Iran.”
