Belgrade: a concert of great Italian film music

As part of “Fare Cinema – Italian Film Festival”, the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade organised a concert of great film scores. The concert was perfomed by Mauro Maur (trumpet), Francoise de Clossey (piano), Giuliano Facchini (guitar), Cristian Longhi (keyboard), Lorenzo Mancini (bass guitar) and Daniele Chiusaroli (drums). Mauro Maur, an internationally known performer and First Trumpet of the Rome Opera House Orchestra since 1985, is renowned the world over: his repertory spans from the most famous baroque, classical and contemporary concerts, to the best film scores.

He has played in the world’s most famous concert halls, including the Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center in New York, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, the Boston Symphony Hall, the Dresden Opera House, the Seoul Art Center, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, and the Teatro alla Scala of Milan. Together with Canadian pianist Françoise de Clossey, Maur and his soloists presented a programme with music by Enrico Morricone, Piero Piccioni and Nino Rota.
