Czech Republic – Italy’s Honorary Consulate opens in Brno

Italy’s Honorary Consulate has opened before the Italian Ambassador, Aldo Amati, the President of the Moravia Region, Bohumil Simek, and the Mayor of the city, Petr Vokral. The consul Pavel Zezula,  president of Nova Mosilana a.s., a textile company of the Marzotto Group, welcomed the guests. Mr Zezula has a degree in Mechanical Technology and Industrial Management, awarded from the Polytechnic of Brno, and is also a member of the local Chamber of Commerce. He has long standing experience with Italy, where he lived for many years. Mr Zezula has now been assigned the task of supporting the Italian Embassy, catering to Italian citizens and promoting Italy’s culture, economy and innovation to the southern and eastern regions of the Czech Republic.
“I hope this location will become a reference point for Brno’s citizens, who wish to get to know Italy and will need to use the consular services,” said Ambassador Amati. “I am very proud of having Zezula as our consul. He is a person I trust, who will know how to give a splendid image of our country. His personality, his experience and his knowledge will provide an added value to all the activities we will perform here in Moravia. Several months have passed since we launched many events in this area. They testify to my interest, and the concern of our Embassy, the Italian Cultural Institute and of the Italo-Czech Chamber of Commerce, of promoting relations with Moravia, its institutions and the local economic community.” The celebrations will end this evening with a concert by the Czech Virtuosi and the choir of the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre, conducted by Maestro Walter Attanasi.
