Rabat – Castiglioni unveils Italian excellence in design

Excellence in Italian design will be unveiled by architect Piero Castiglioni at a lecture in Rabat, in Morocco, entitled “Luce-Architettura, la luce in-visibile”. Castiglioni will illustrate projects where lighting plays an important part, such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Quirinal Palace in Rome, the steps of Santa Maria del Monte in Caltagirone, St Petersburg Cathedral and the Imperial Fora in Rome.

Organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Rabat, the event will be held at the Ecole Nationale d’Architecture. On 12 November, Chiara Baldacci will give a lesson on “Stelle: cenni sul design dell’apparecchio di illuminazione (1950-2010) tra artigianato e industria”. Read more, in Italian
