Italy is working on behalf of women in Tanzania, where a specialised mobile unit equipped to perform mammograms was donated by the Italian non-profit association Ruvuma to the S. Maria Nascente of Mbweni, run by Indian nuns of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI). The goal is to promote the prevention of tumours of the breast, which are on the rise. The unit will make it possible to reach a large number of women, who will have free access to examinations and the benefits of early detection. Read more, in Italian.
