The Italian Cultural Institute in Guatemala City opened the contemporary art exhibition “Tempo& Spazio” (“Time & Space). The show includes Italian artists selected by the curator and art critic Monica Ferrarini, in order to establish a dialogue and a comparison with Guatemalan artists selected by co-curator and artist Brenda Estrada. The exhibition is part of the ‘Guatemala ‘ Guatemala’ art project launched in 2014 thanks to the efforts proffered by Brenda Estrada to bring Guatemalan art beyond the national borders by trying to establish solidarity and friendship relationship through a cultural exchange with Italy. The “Tempo & Spazio” exhibition, that will run until 6 September and whose special guest will be Italian painter Elisabetta Bertulli, is not meant to be a simple display of artworks but an opportunity to bring together and compare different artists.
