Mexico, Carla Fracci’s art in dancing on display at the Italian Cultural Institute

Carla Fracci’s great art in dancing will be the focus of a photographic exhibition hosted at the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City from 22 August. “Los abrazos – Carla Fracci en imagenes de Lucia Baldini” (“Embraces – Carla Fracci in images by Lucia Baldini”) is the fruit of twelve years of Lucia Baldini’s collaboration as stage photographer of one of the icons of the international ballet scene. The exhibition, through itinerary of portraits in black and white, celebrates Carla Fracci as woman, artist and dancer in the period from1996 al 2008: a period in which she explored the most unconventional roles, creating a repertoire of characters whose fragility, force, love and despair were at the centre of her narrative. The exhibition will run until 23 September.
