Buenos Aires, film italiani a Festival BAFICI

The Italian Cultural Institute in Buenos Aires is taking part in the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI), one of the most important in Latin America. The festival, which runs from 20 April to 1 May 2022, includes a broad selection of Italian films. These include the documentary “Italo Disco. Il suono scintillante degli anni ’80”, directed by Alessandro Melazzini, who will be meeting the public on 22, 23 and 24 April. The documentary immerses the audience in the musical universe of an era and portrays the abandon of millions of young Europeans as they dance to the frantic rhythm of synthetic, mesmerising tunes; of sometimes bizarre English lyrics; of intricate electronic sounds and visionary videoclips.

Other Italian films being screened at the Festival include “Futura” by Alice Rohrwacher, Pietro Marcello and Francesco Munzi; “Marx Can Wait” by Marco Bellocchio; “Tre piani” by Nanni Moretti; “Occhiali neri” by Dario Argento; and “Il deserto Rosso” and “L’avventura” by Michelangelo Antonioni.
