The need for a progressive harmonisation of the different national visa policies has led to the adoption of certain measures by European bodies, including Regulation (EU) 2018/1806 of November 14, 2018, which determines the list of States whose nationals are subject to the visa requirement.
Citizens of the following countries, entities and territorial authorities, holders of ordinary passports, are subject to Schengen visa requirements or not:

With regards to National Visas, pursuant to Legislative Decree 286/98 all citizens of third countries are subject to the requirement of an entry visa.
