Istituto Marangoni’s Dubai Campus was inaugurated on Monday 12 September, at the Museum of the Future; the event was attended by H.H. Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and member of the Dubai Council, and by the Minister of Culture and Youth, H.E. Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi.
The opening of the Campus, the tenth of Istituto Marangoni’s international network and the first international fashion and design school in the UAE, was supported by the Emirates Authorities, alongside the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of Italy in Dubai. Undergraduate level courses will begin in the coming days, with 40 students with 27 different nationalities.
The inauguration of the Institute was celebrated at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, with a parade of young designers who graduated from several Marangoni Institutes, in a captivating dialogue between real and virtual worlds. The Institute was represented for the occasion by Managing Director Stefania Valenti, and by the CEO of Galileo Global Education and Managing Director of NABA Milano, Donato Medici, who expressed great satisfaction for the opening of the new Campus in a dynamic city such as Dubai.
The Consul General of Italy in Dubai, Giuseppe Finocchiaro, pointed out that “Istituto Marangoni will be a training platform, inspiring a new generation of young designers and creatives in the Middle East, with a specific focus on technology and environmental issues.”
