A Christmas present to Rome and to all the people needing help: this is the spirit of the Solidarity and Dignity Day organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the 15th Municipal District of Rome, the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and the “Retake Roma” Association on Saturday, 14 December 2019.
Anyone wanting to donate blood will be able to do so from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., either on Piazza Lauro de Bosis, next to the CONI headquarters, or in front of the Palazzo della Farnesina on Piazzale della Farnesina, where two bloodmobiles will be parked with their medical and nursing personnel.
Next to the two bloodmobiles there will also be the meeting point of Retake Roma, from which two groups, coordinated by the Municipal District volunteers and personnel, will depart at 8:30 a.m. to clean the streets and parks and gardens of the area. The personnel of AMA, the municipal waste management company, will provide the waste collection equipment.
At 7 p.m., the Foreign Ministry will organise a grand finale for the Day: the façade of the Farnesina will be the backdrop and the lead player in the “Farnesina Digital Art Experience” light and video mapping show open to the public, co-organised with the Bright Festival and included in the programming of Videocittà, aimed at celebrating the building’s architecture in a dynamic and modern performance that marks the 20th anniversary of the Farnesina Contemporary Art Collection.
