Thailand: Saipem wins a 500 million USD contract for a regasification terminal
The Saipem Group announced the adjudication of the tender for the construction of the regasification terminal of Nong Fab LNG, in the district of Mueang Rayong, the industrial district near Pattaya, south-east of Bangkok.
The contract, adjudicated to the consortium with the CTCI of Taiwan, is worth 925 million dollars, the Italian component of which, for being project leader and holding 55% of the joint venture, is worth approximately 500 million dollars.
The customer is PTT LNG Company, a subsidiary of PTT Public Company, Thailand’s State-owned national oil & gas operator and member of the Italy-Thailand Business Forum.
The contract will have a duration of 46 months as of 1 July 2018 and will be closed within the month of July. The contract includes engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities for a maximum terminal capacity of 9 million metric tons per year for the reception, stocking and regasification of liquefied natural gas. Saipem will manage the construction of a 5 km long jetty and of the terminal and office facilities on land.
