EXPO VENLO – Record visitor numbers during the Italian pavilion’s first few weeks

The first few weeks of the Italian Pavilion at the Venlo Expo – running in the Dutch city from 5 April to 7 October 2012 – have seen record visitor numbers of around 3000 people each day.

The first arts event organised by the Italian Commission for Floriade 2012 has been another success. The concert by Eugenio Bennato and his musicians – the quality of the music and modernity of the rhythms – was a great hit. Commissioner General Gabor and the heads of the Expo’s key sectors were enthusiastic members of the audience.

Floriade 2012: World Horticultural Expo

This is the first time Italy, which occupies a prime position in floriculture and horticulture in general, is taking part officially in an International Horticultural Exposition. Our debut will see us take a leading role, thanks to the Italian Pavilion which will provide an international showcase for our institutions and businesses throughout the six months of the event.
