The harsh reality of Italian post-war emigration was the background to the performance by Virginia Innocenti, an actress and signer of Italian origin, entitled “In the Blood: dreams of water and landfall”. The event took place on 14, 21 and 28 April 2012 at the Parque de la Memoria in Buenos Aires, with the patronage of the Italian Consulate General. The Consulate took an active part in staging the project, including through funding.
The event was a great success with audiences and critics. The choice of venue, the Park of Remembrance, was greatly appreciated, in view of its highly symbolic nature in remembrance of the victims of state-sponsored terrorism. Read more, in Italian.
