The foreign ministry is increasingly eco-sustainable thanks to the “Quid noctis” project, by which a centralised shut-down of the ministry’s PC has led to a significant energy savings quantifiable in €40,000 annually.
There are 1,935 work stations currently involved and another 328 will be added in the coming months. The “power saving” rules apply both during the workday as well as during in the night. The system is activated only when the PCs register no sign of activity.
Results already achieved, and its use of new advanced technologies, confirm the ministry’s concrete commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its activities.
