Israel: EU organises seminar in Tel Aviv on technology incubators.
The EU Delegation in Israel is organising an “EU/Israel Seminar on Innovation” that will take place on 18-19 November at the Google Campus in Tel Aviv. The programme should be finalised in October. The seminar is intended primarily for the heads of European and Israeli technology incubators, but also for academics and representatives of member states’ institutions and business and venture capital communities.
Day one of the seminar will focus on discussions and round tables, with presentations selected with a view to sharing best practice between EU and Israeli incubators. Day two will include visits to local technology incubators. The initiative is the third of its kind in recent years, following one on eco-systems and another on technology transfer.
The seminar will be held in collaboration with the Technological Incubators Programme, which was set up in Israel in 1991 with the primary goal of bringing technological innovations to market that would otherwise be too risky for private investors to implement. The Programme currently has 24 incubators in Israel, operating in numerous research and development sectors but with a focus on Life Sciences, Cleantech and ICT (infoMercatiEsteri.it) Read more, in Italian
