Diplomats at the UN. The art of multilateral negotiations

The United Nations Organisation consists of a galaxy of organisations that deal with all sorts of international questions. In multilateral diplomacy, the United Nations are the forum for diplomats to meet and discuss all the political, economic and social issues that affect the co-existence of peoples.

Diplomats at the UN: the new instalment of “Diplomazia e dintorni” on Radio Luiss

The ninth instalment of “Diplomazia e dintorni” on Tuesday 3 December will examine the work of the diplomats who represent their country’s interests at the UN on a daily basis.

What role do diplomats play in UN negotiations? How do you become an expert in the dossiers under discussion? What sort of relations exist with the diplomats of other countries and with UN officials?

With the help of his diplomat guests, Stefano Baldi will illustrate these and other of the less well-known aspects of the work done by diplomats at the UN.
