Exhibitions, festivals, workshops, cultural events, fairs and meetings with tourism operators will form the “backbone” for the Italian-Russian Year of Tourism. Italy will be promoting less well-known destinations in the Federation’s growing tourism market. As our Ambassador in Moscow, Cesare Maria Ragaglini, explained, the aim is to help Russian visitors discover villages, UNESCO sites and “art towns” that speak of centuries of art and culture. EXPO 2015 will also feature strongly in the “Year”, which opens officially on 3 February 2014 with a gala concert in Milan. Read more, in Italian.
