Italy and Tunisia discussed the “shared challenges of democracy” at a seminar organised in Tunis by the Fondazione De Gasperi and hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute, with the support of the Italian Embassy. Participants examined the construction of democracy by Italian Catholics in the Christian Democrat party during the post-war transition from the end of Fascism to the Constituent Assembly and then into the early days of the Republic.

Other speakers included Maria Romana De Gasperi and Armando Tarullo, Secretary General of the Fondazione De Gasperi. Read more, in Italian
