The Foreign Ministry is taking part in the RAI broadcasting corporation’s “M’illumino di Meno” initiative in 2014 as it has done in previous years. The national energy-saving initiative is now in its 10th consecutive year.
Lights out at the Farnesina
From 18.00 on Friday 14 February, the façade of the Farnesina Palace will not be floodlit. All staff members in Italy and abroad are invited to take part in the initiative throughout the day by rationalising their energy consumption and applying energy-saving good practice. This could include switching off unnecessary lights and other electrical devices; travelling to work using sustainable transport (bicycle, car-sharing with other employees, public transport, on foot) and reducing food wastage.
