Syria – Cooperation emergency supplies from Brindisi

A humanitarian mission left with a load of emergency supplies, blankets and medical kits valued at approx. €104,000 from the UNHRD’s Brindisi logistical base on Monday for the Turkish-Syrian border, intended for the Syrian population affected by the conflict.

Signal to Syrians that Italy cares

The over-land mission, which should reach its destination within approximately 10 days, is a response to an appeal by the association of free Syrians in Italy (ASLI). It sends a new and concrete signal to Syrians of how much Italy cares, and is in line with the Italian Cooperation’s earlier responses to this serious humanitarian crisis.
