Development Cooperation is part of Italian foreign policy and therefore presents a challenge to diplomats in their promotion of the values of solidarity and defence of the nation’s interests.
Italy, which has a long and consolidated tradition as a donor country, provides assistance in many countries around the world and in a variety of contexts.
Global Diplomacy
What contribution can diplomats make in a sector with such a vast range of actors – experts, volunteers and international organisation officers – and what added value does our country gain from this activity?
These will be the topics of discussion in the 21st instalment of “Diplomazia e Dintorni”, in the course of which Stefano Baldi will interview Paolo Palminteri, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office for the Development Cooperation policies of the European Union.
