DEI/Sole 24 Ore – Brazil: Italian trade mission to Rio Grande do Sul

Brazil: Italian trade mission to Rio Grande do Sul in April

A trade mission to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, organised by the Italian Embassy in Brasilia, begins on 15 April 2014. Its aim is
to illustrate the Italian Government’s “Destinazione Italia” programme to Brazilian entrepreneurs and to introduce the themes of EXPO 2015 and further strengthen the Italian presence in the region.

The sectors selected for the mission are:
a) renewable energy – Rio Grande do Sul has important projects under way to diversify its energy sector.
b) Oil & Gas – the state has important hubs for shipbuilding and oil industry supplies.
c) Agri-business – Rio Grande do Sul has Brazil’s highest number of businesses in this sector, which was selected in view of the opportunities it provides for Italian businesses and for its relevance to the themes of EXPO 2015.

The mission will be conducted in coordination with the ICE-Italian Trade Agency and ENIT offices in São Paulo, and with our Consulate General in Porto Alegre. The event also envisages B2B meetings between Italian and local enterprises.
