Growth Diplomacy – Internationalisation makes a stop in Emilia

The date is 25 June, the place is Reggio Emilia: the next business internationalisation road show appointment, an initiative that for the first time brings together all the both public and private System Italy actors involved in this medium-term effort across the nation.

The format

The format of each event includes a plenary session with high profile guests from the institutional and financial worlds who illustrate the instruments and strategies for supporting businesses on global markets. Following that session, business persons are able to speak with sector specialists about foreign marketplaces. Present for the Reggio Emilia event will be Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli, who will make an introductory speech followed by the interventions of ICE-SAC and Simest, moderated by MFA Central Director for Internationalisation and Territorial Autonomies Vincenzo De Luca. Speakers will include Director General of ICE Roberto Luongo, SACE northwest manager Giammarco Boccia and SIMEST CEO Massimo D’Aiuto. Speakers at the end of the event will include head of the Servizio Sportello for the internationalisation of the businesses of Emilia-Romagna Ruben Sacerdoti and various local business executives.

Other stops along the way

The Reggio Emilia event follows upon a similar one held in Mantova on 11 June, and others are planned for Biella, Bari, Milan and Ancona. The road shows are planned by the “Cabina di regia per l’Italia internazionale”, have the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are promoted and supported by the Ministry of Economic Development. In addition to ICE, SACE and SIMEST, the campaign also avails itself of the intervention of Confindustria, Unioncamere, Rete Imprese Italia and Alleanze delle Cooperative Italiane. Some of the road show events will also see the participation of Finest and Confagricoltura and other bodies working to encourage the internationalisation of businesses in Italy.
