Men’s suit designer Ermenegildo Zegna bought a 60% share in “Achill”, a 2,500 hectare farm specialised in raising Merino sheep (12,500 head), particularly prized for their wool. The farm is situated in New South Wales and has a 175-year history. Minor partner Tyrell Coventry, former president of the Australian Superfine Woolgrowers Association, will maintain responsibility for running the farm. The joint venture is the first between a major international fashion brand and a sheep farm in Australia.
