Made in Italy: anti-food fraud agreement between CIA and CSA
Italy’s Confederazione italiana agricoltori (CIA) and Centro studi anticontraffazione (CSA) signed a protocol of collaboration aimed at identifying instruments and measures for combating the spreading counterfeiting of Made in Italy products, including foods. The agreement is reported to contain common actions that include analyses, meetings, seminars and projects aimed at the disseminating legal practices at national, European and international levels. The shared tasks and related studies on the matter are to lead to legislative proposals that the organisations will sumit to the attention of the authorised institutions. Additionally, the CIA and CSA will promote specific communication plans for encouraging the production of quality national farm and food products and the maintenance of their distinct Made in Italy identity.
