The first Italian film-maker to win an Oscar was Vittorio De Sica, with “Sciuscià” – a neorealism masterpiece from 1947. And in March 2014 Paolo Sorrentino’s “La Grande bellezza” brought the total of Italian Oscar-winning films to 13. All of these films will now be screened by the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona, during the “L’Italia da Oscar” season running from Monday 15 to Friday 19 September 2014. The event coincides with “Open Doors Week”, when the Institute will welcome the public to a series of free cultural and food and wine events. Read more, in Italian.
