The 14th annual NOVA conference has opened in London with a gala event at the Italian Embassy in London, hosted by Ambassador Pasquale Terracciano. NOVA is the network of Italian students taking, or who have taken, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) courses in foreign universities. The evening was dedicated to this “brain drain” of talented young Italians, many of whom would like to return to Italy.
This was the first time the NOVA conference – organised this year by the London Business School and hosted by the Royal Institute of British Architects – has been held in Europe.
As the organisers explained, NOVA’s goal is to stimulate funding for growth, innovation and start-ups. They estimate that 30-40% of the young Italians studying abroad intend to return to Italy. Read more, in Italian.
